I have spent my entire working career in the Real Estate Industry in one phase or another. For 11 years I worked for real estate attorneys in Illinois where attorneys handle the transaction, not title companies. Then I managed and worked alongside my husband in his residential home construction business for about 38 years helping buyers choose appropriate property to build on, designing the home that met the needs and wants of the buyers and helping them personalize their home with the choices they made.
I have good insight into remodeling of existing homes, making interior changes or putting on an addition to adapt a home to a buyer’s needs.
I had worked with other real estate agents, mortgage lenders and title companies, so I acquired a thorough understanding of all aspects of the real estate industry. Finally, in 1998 I obtained my own real estate license, and joined the National Assn. of Realtors and the Colorado Assn. of Realtors because I knew that a REALTOR “®” had to abide by a strict Code of Ethics and was considerably more knowledgeable than a regular real estate agent.
I think knowledge is very important in this industry for the well being of our buyers and sellers. I have my GRI, Graduate Realtor Institute, my SRES, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, my ABR, Accredited Buyer Representative, and a CRS, Certified Residential Specialist which is a prestigious designation. I am a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), one of the top designations in real estate, taught nationally by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.
I have been a director on our local Board of Realtors for 13 years, being the President twice, having received the Realtor of the Year award in 2007, and was the Southeast Colorado District Vice President for the Colorado Assn. of Realtors. In 2014, I received the Outstanding Service Award from the Realtors of Central Colorado, Board of Realtors.
I love people and enjoy the privilege of using my PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE, ETHICAL CONDUCT, EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE and MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE to help them make the best and often the most costly decision of their lives.
Many years down the road, I want them to still be happy with the choices I helped them make.
